Cell Dogs Parolees Ex-Offenders ReUnite
(1 vote)This is a group for ex inmates, ex -offenders, parolee's, AND ANYONE who has been emotionally affected by prison and its after math. It is to be used as a support system, and resource network, and to offer help to anyone who needs or wants it. The main goal of this group is to offer support to those who are having a difficult time adjusting to the outside. And a harder time, getting used to it. We have spent so much time in jail, and in there it moved slowly, but outside time went by faster than a speeding bullet, and the adjustment is maddening:Nightmares, panic Attacks, Fear of Leaving the House. All of which I personally have been through, and the secrets that plague us at night that we can not tell anyone about. For fear of being labeled nutcase. Except here. Here we are free to speak out about our nightmares our fears our regrets, and even some of the joys. Even about the friends that we left behind. Here no one will criticizes us, and that gives us the freedom to deal with , and let go of the things that haunt our dreams. For me I not only loath the sound of keys, but expect a guard behind every one I hear. I am always waiting. For what? I don't know. Head count chow, rec,...Who knows. But that is the crazy part I cant tell people about. Except here. I am free to let it all hang out, and so are you, because this is our group. Make it what you want. But be respectful towards each other, we've all hard a hard go at life. Welcome to Cell Dogs Forum a place to rap and not get, any static |
Do Not Give Up Hope USA Yahoo Group
(1 vote)Inmate, incarcerated, prison, jail, parole, probation, family members and society in the USA to gather for support, compassion, understanding, loyality, morals, values, etc.. This group is in dedication to all people who are in prisons across the United States to come together and unite as one for those whom have no voice. We all need to support one another for every person incarcerated in the United States of America. We must bring back the word "Freedom" into this country. Everyone deserves a second chance. No more judgement to no one. United we stand, divided we fall, so are we in this as a whole? Accept one for the gift they are on the inside. This is a very serious issue that needs our attention united as one. We need each other in so many ways. For our loved ones incarcerated, for those who care, for incarcerated ancestors, for our families and friends now, our children and generations to come. True respect, loyality, and honor apply or you will be banned. How many people want faith in our country brought back? The values and morals of respecting one another with dignity and grace? Where is the love for one another? Lets bring it back in support of each other as a whole. |
Doing Time Together Yahoo Group
(1 vote)Those who have been in jail or prison already know the truth. But I'm not after to make others change their minds about "criminals",only to ask them to keep an open mind, because whether they're guilty or not they can end up behind bars just as quick as the inmate they're looking down their nose at. People too easily feel that once a person has been behind bars, their life is over-they will always be a criminal. It is differcult for a person to live life on the streets again after being behind bars, but they have served their time, they deserve the chance and the support to start over. |

The Advocates for Inmates Program is built from a network of concerned citizens who realize that inmates are human, too. To err is human, to forgive, divine…Here you will find ideas for rehabilitation, reform, prevention, educational and recovery programs, prison related issues, links to useful sites, letters from the those on the inside, messages of hope and unity, ideas for a positive change in our current faltering system. Jail Bird Sings Yahoo Group
(1 vote)"Jail Bird Sings" is one of Texas Prisoners Network Support [TPNS] Groups which encircles Family Members that are incarcerated inside of the Texas Department Criminal Of Justice System. This is a "Restrictive" Group for Families and Friends who has Loved-Ones that are incarcerated in the TDCJ Prison Facilities. You and your loved one are not alone when dealing with a cruel-inhumane system that does nothing but lie and deceive families and friends of what is truly going on inside the Texas Prison. We have let ourselves become intimidated as the Black Birds (TDCJ) hold our loved ones captive inside the Iron Cages and give them the powers to convince us that we cannot do anything. That is a bird turd lie! Because we can make a difference for our loved ones inside the TDCJ Iron Cages! "Jail Bird Sings" is a place for sharing news, information, ideas, personal experiences, prison issues, links to other useful sites, letters, petitions, prison reform, policies and procedures that pertains to TDCJ. "Jail Bird Sings" is a community that surrounds and supports Texas Prisoners [This Includes: Death Row; Ad Seg; General Pop; Parolees; Ex-Offenders; The Young, The Old and The Restless]. All families, friends, attorneys, paralegals, concerned citizens, elected officials, prisoner rights activists/advocates, and ex-offenders are welcome to join with us. Together we can make a change and a difference, so our loved ones "Jail Birds" will be able to "Sing" the blues away! |

Prisoner Life Yahoo Group
PrisonerLife.com started with a simple idea. An idea conceived by a few prisoners incarcerated at the Federal Correctional Institution, Ft. Dix. These men believed there was a need to provide prisoner's families and friends, as well as the general public, a better understanding of the American prison system and the people it holds. This forum is for you to express your opinions, exchange ideas, share information, ask questions, offer support, debate, and hopefully learn. Please do not post articles. This group was created to help the families and loved ones of prisoners. |

Texans Against Prison Abuse
Horrific abuses, some similar to those revealed in Iraq, regularly occur in U.S. prisons with little national attention or public outrage. We see many of the same kinds of things here in the United States, including molestive assualts and the abuse of prisoners. Prisoners have been molested, abused by guards and humiliated but we don't talk about it much in America and we certainly don't hear the president expressing outrage. There are deadly inadequacies' in healthcare that plague inmate wards. Gaps in evaluating care let some mistakes go unnoticed. Some come out of the state's 105 prisons sicker than they went in. Too frequently, they take strains of drug-resistant HIV into what inmates call the free world. Others are neglected or simply "left to die." Most of the information regarding prison health care is kept secret by legislative enactment. Texas prison inmates live in fear. The more vulnerable inmates are molested, beaten, owned, and sold by more powerful ones. Despite their pleas to prison officials, they are often refused protection. Correctional officers continue to rely on the physical control of excessive force to enforce order. Many inmates are locked away in administrative segregation, especially those with mental illnesses, and subjected to extreme deprivations and daily psychological harm. Texans Against Prison Abuse was established in order to provide Texas Prisoners, the Families of Texas Prisoners and Texas Prisoners Advocates with a much needed Socio-Political forum from which to promote established principles of Social Justice, consistent with Human Rights. |
