George has spent 24+ years of his LIFE NO PAROLE sentence in federal prison for NON-VIOLENT drug crimes. George, dispite his sentence, has mantained hope that he will someday receive the "SECOND CHANCE" he has earned, and so deserves. While we advocate for George Martorano's freedom, we also speak for the thousands and thousands of others within the walls that have also received harsh unjust sentences. Change is needed. Sentencing has FILLED our prison system beyond capacity. While the crime rate has actually fallin, the incarceration rate keeps soaring-why?? because of SENTENCING.
