Chantal McCorkle
(1 vote)Sentenced to a Mandatory 24 years imprisonment in 1999 for an 'Infomercial Fraud', Chantal McCorkle remains in jail to this day. Our consciences are clear when we say 'this is NOT Justice'. But, you decide for yourself.. Was she failed by a legal system which missed the truth at every turn? Or guilty as charged? The fact remains that Chantal is serving a sentence that a murderer may not face. |

Free Ray Gray
In 1973, Raymond Gray was arrested for a crime he did not commit. He knew the people involved, including the victims and the perpetrators. He had just turned 21; he was young and naive, all things considered. First of all, he believed that since he was innocent, he wouldn't be convicted, especially since he knew there could be no evidence against him! We all know now that is not how the system works. Evidence is really unnecessary. Innocence is irrelevant. If you won't take a plea, and are convicted anyway, you are going to do the maximum time, even if that means a natural life sentence. |

Kenneth Foster - Death Row Inmate commuted to life
(1 vote)Kenneth was the driver of a car with three passengers (Mauriceo Brown, Julius Steen, and Dewayne Dillard). It was late into the night. One of the men, Mauriceo Brown, left the car. Minutes later he shot a man named Michael LaHood. Kenneth and the others still sat in the car more than 80 feet away. The prosecution claimed that Brown did a robbery that all four of the individuals were in knowledge of, thus they were considered parties of the crime. We regret that Mr. LaHood had to die in this tragic way and feel deep sympathy for his family. However we also believe that Kenneth Foster's death sentence after the law of parties is not just. |
